📣 Parent-Teacher Conferences Are Coming Up! We’re excited to connect with our E.O. Green families during Parent-Teacher Conferences in December! Here's what you need to know: ✅ 6th Grade: Conferences start Tuesday, December 3, and run through Friday, December 13. Early dismissal starts Monday, December 2, at 1:20 PM (1:00 PM on Wednesdays). Teachers will contact families to schedule times. ✅ 7th & 8th Grades: Conferences will be held from Tuesday, December 3, through Friday, December 6. Early dismissal starts Monday, December 2, at 1:45 PM (1:00 PM on Wednesday). Due to the ongoing Mountain Fire and air quality in our area, the Hueneme Elementary School District has made the difficult decision to keep all schools, including E.O. Green Junior High School, closed tomorrow, Friday, November 8th. Additionally, we will be closed on Monday, November 11th, in observance of Veterans Day. We will provide an update regarding the school status for Tuesday, November 12th. Thank you for your understanding. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this fire. Debido al actual Incendio Mountain y a la calidad del aire en nuestra área, el Distrito Escolar Primario de Hueneme ha tomado la difícil decisión de mantener cerradas todas las escuelas, incluyendo la Escuela Secundaria E.O. Throughout this month, we celebrate the resilience, strength, and dedication of those who support our service members. At E.O. Green, we are here to support our military-connected students and families. Hornet Community, Tomorrow is Halloween and the final day of our Red Ribbon Week, a national campaign that promotes making healthy choices and living drug-free. Red Ribbon Week is a valuable time for our students to learn about the importance of resisting peer pressure and making positive decisions that support their well-being and future goals. Each year, schools across the country participate in this week to foster a commitment to healthy, drug-free lifestyles. To celebrate, our Spirit Day theme for tomorrow is “Dress Like a Superhero”! Students may show their spirit by dressing as their favorite superhero, but please remember that capes and masks are not permitted, and all students must wear uniform bottoms. As we approach the end of the first trimester on November 8, please continue to encourage your child to bring a fully charged Chromebook and charger to school each day and to be on time. School starts promptly at 8:00 a.m. Also, a reminder that there is no school on November 1 due to our Professional Development Day. Thank you for supporting our school community and helping make Red Ribbon Week a meaningful experience for our students.
