I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits. As Principal of E.O. Green Jr. High, I welcome you to the upcoming academic year with great enthusiasm and a warm heart!
I cannot wait to embark on this journey together, fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for our students. E.O. Green Jr. High has a rich history and a commitment to nurturing each student's holistic growth, and I am dedicated to upholding and enhancing these traditions.
E.O. Green Jr. High School Hornet Orientations: The Student Orientations will occur on August 13, 14, and 15. The orientation is staggered by separate days/times and alphabetically by last names. We kindly ask that you follow the schedule, but if you have children in different grade levels and/or cannot participate on your assigned day, please attend the day that works for you. The orientation process will be approximately 90 minutes. Be advised that gates will be closed at 5 pm; please plan accordingly.

The following is needed for orientation:
One parent with student/s - Recommended to minimize crowds visiting orientation stations.
Parents, bring your photo ID to receive your Parent Connect and Parentsquare login credentials.
Parents bring one or two working black or blue pens
Textbook distribution- bring a backpack, tote, or reusable bag
Chromebook distribution for new students - All students who attended HESD kept their Chromebooks during the summer.
Participate in the School Rules and Policies Presentation - Required
Sign up for SHINE, The after-school program.
You can purchase your Physical Education uniform T-shirts for $15, shorts for $15, and sweatpants for $25. Cash only. Bring an exact cash amount. PE uniforms must be worn during PE classes.
Buy GREEN gear ($15 T-shirts, $25 Sweatshirts - CASH ONLY, purchase with exact cash only) -Purchase is OPTIONAL
Complete the Federal Forms
Return ALL completed and signed forms found in the First Day Packet you received in the mail.
We want to prevent requiring parents/guardians to return to campus to sign and complete forms. Thank you for checking both sides of the documents before you bring them to orientation.
Student Class Schedules will be distributed to all students- You may also find your class schedule by visiting the Student Connect portal on our website.
Student orientation takes approximately 1 hour and a half to visit all stations.
The school gate opens at 1 pm and will close at 5 pm.
Please keep in mind:
Students who do not show up for orientation on Aug. 13, 14, and 15 will need to access their class schedule in Student Connect or come to the front office to request their class schedule and visit the library to check out the textbooks for the year. If you have siblings in different grade levels, select only one date that works for your family.
