Reminder: 8th Grade Orientation Today

Dear E.O. Green Junior High School Families,

We look forward to welcoming back our class of 2027, 8th-grade students to campus today for orientation. This event provides an essential opportunity to prepare for the academic year and integrate into the school community. A reminder to have your student's completed paperwork from the first-day packets. Gates will close promptly at 5:15 pm so we can close at 6 pm.

To ensure an efficient process and reduce wait times, please adhere to the designated check-in schedule based on your student's last name, detailed below.
Check-in Schedule by Student Last Name:

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: A – F
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: G – L
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: M – Q
4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: R – Z

During today's orientation, you will be able to:
- Submit the required paperwork from the informational packets delivered to your residence over the summer.
- Receive your student's official class schedule.
- Review school expectations and guidelines for the upcoming academic year.
-Purchase PE clothes
-Receive their textbooks
- Purchase school apparel (Green Gear). Please note that these purchases are strictly cash only. We have limited sizing. 

We strongly encourage parental involvement and invite you to partner with us this year. Representatives will be available with information on joining our parent organizations, including the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), School Site Council (SSC), Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), and the Community Schools Steering Committee.

Important Upcoming Dates:
- Picture Day: School photographs are scheduled for September 1.
